GOVERNOR INSLEE VISITS SECOND HARVEST
Governor Inslee visited Second Harvest’s Spokane Hunger Solution Center on Friday, April 9. During his visit, he addressed Second Harvest staff directly, thanking them for their work to get food to people facing hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you, Governor Inslee, for including Second Harvest during your time in Spokane!
MOBILE MARKET
Second Harvest will host a drive-thru distribution at the Spokane County Fairgrounds (404 N. Havana St. #1, Spokane Valley, WA) on Thursday, April 29, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., or as supplies last. More details about the event can be found on our Mobile Market calendar or on the flier below. Please feel free to share this flier with relevant audiences.
PARTNER SPOTLIGHT
The ZoNE, one of Second Harvest’s partners, recently published a blog post about the work they do to help ensure immigrant and refugee neighbors in Northeast Spokane can access nutritious food. Relationships built on trust are central to their model, and Second Harvest is a committed partner in this work. Thank you to The ZoNe, Community Health Workers, and other partners for your important contributions to this effort! Second Harvest is proud to be part of such a generous, connected community and continues to work to provide food equitably throughout our service territory.
