SPOKANE INDIANS “BALLPARK DINNER TO-GO” FUNDRAISER
The Spokane Indians hosted a “ballpark dinner to-go” on Thursday, May 21 to keep the spirit of baseball alive until games can resume—and to help people facing hunger in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dinners for four were pre-ordered for $40 and included typical ballpark fare. A portion of the proceeds were donated to Second Harvest. The club will offer a to-go taco meal on June 2. Learn more about the event here. Thank you to the Spokane Indians for helping keep everyone in our community fed during this time!

UNILEVER’S DAY OF SERVICE
Second Harvest volunteers were treated to a fresh grab-and-go lunch from Pita Pit on Thursday, May 21, courtesy of the national United for America Day of Service by our partners at Unilever Food Solutions. Unilever collaborated with restaurant operators across the country to provide lunch to nearly 11,000 people serving at Feeding America food banks to display their thanks for the work they’re doing during this time of increased need. Volunteers at Second Harvest enjoyed a tasty lunch from Pita Pit to fuel their hard work. Thank you to Unilever for your support of Second Harvest and Feeding America!
VOICES OF HOPE
“I am humbled and grateful to Second Harvest, local volunteers and to the National Guard for making it possible to receive food at this time. It’s difficult for me as, an older person, to get out in the best of circumstances. The COVID-19 situation has made it all the more difficult and lately more expensive to shop for food. The box of non-perishable foods I received today will go a long way to help me. Thank you. Thank you.” -Mary, Rosalia, WA
